The Governor has not yet invited Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) to form the government. The latest reports suggest that the party is planning to move to the Supreme Court seeking support to form the new government. This comes after the Governor reportedly did not respond to their request.

Vijay had requested the Governor to grant permission to form the government and asked for two weeks’ time. He was expecting a positive response and had even planned the CM oath-taking ceremony for today.

Governor Seeks MLA List First

However, there has been no response from the Governor to the TVK Party’s request yet, and the Governor’s office has reportedly asked the party to first submit the list of 118 supporting MLAs before proceeding.

With this development, Vijay is now planning to approach the Supreme Court. Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam stands as the single biggest party with the highest majority in Tamil Nadu elections, but it has to wait to form the government.
